1. The hard limits
Four limits exist so that one account cannot break delivery for everybody else. They are the whole list:
- 20 signers on a single document on Free, 50 on Pro;
- 10 MB per file;
- 200 pages per file;
- 200 fields per document.
If you need more, email info@tryparaph.com and we will usually say yes.
2. New accounts
A new account can send a handful of documents on its first day, and the allowance rises over its first month until it is well above what any normal business sends. It is the most effective thing we do to stop the service being used for phishing, and it costs a real new customer nothing.
3. What gets sending paused
We pause sending on an account that:
- generates spam complaints;
- sends documents impersonating a bank, a government department or a brand it has nothing to do with;
- sends to addresses that mostly do not exist, which is what a bought or scraped list looks like;
- automates sending in a way that looks like a script rather than a business.
Sending is also paused automatically when two different recipients report an account’s documents as impersonation or as asking for payment.
4. What a pause does and does not do
A pause stops you sending, resending or reminding. It never stops anybody signing: every document already out stays signable, and every signed document stays where it is, because the people you sent them to did nothing wrong.
We email you when we pause an account, and a person reads your reply. Nothing is deleted because an account was paused.
5. Documents we check before they go out
A small number of documents are held for a few hours before sending, and you see a message saying so. Most clear automatically; the rest are looked at by a person, who emails you with the outcome. We do not say which check a document tripped, because that would help the one person we are trying to stop.
