Paraph vs DocuSign, a free DocuSign alternative
DocuSign has no free plan, and its Standard plan is priced per person, with a yearly envelope allowance. Paraph's free plan has no monthly limit, and Pro is £19 a month for the whole team, so for a small team sending ordinary contracts the difference is most of the bill.

What Paraph does that DocuSign doesn't
- A free plan with no monthly limit. DocuSign's cheapest plan, Personal, is paid and covers one person. Paraph's free plan has no count on signature requests, signers, team members or templates.
- One price for any team size. DocuSign Standard is £20 per person a month on annual billing, or £34 paying monthly. For five people that is five times the price; Paraph Pro stays at £19.
- No envelope allowance. DocuSign Standard includes 100 envelopes per user a year on annual billing and 10 envelopes per user a month on monthly billing. Paraph has no monthly document limit on either plan.
Where DocuSign is better
DocuSign is a much bigger product, and for some teams that matters more than price.
- Integrations and an API. DocuSign has an API and integrations. Paraph has neither yet.
- Stronger signature types. DocuSign offers advanced and qualified electronic signatures. Paraph provides simple electronic signatures only, which cover most business contracts but not documents that need identity checks or a qualified signature.
- Single sign-on and a mobile app. DocuSign offers single sign-on and a mobile app. Paraph signs in with an emailed code, and works in the browser.
Who should pick which
Pick DocuSign if you need it to plug into Salesforce or another system through an API, if a client or regulator requires an advanced or qualified signature, or if your organisation signs in to everything through single sign-on.
Pick Paraph if you send ordinary contracts, such as NDAs, contractor agreements, client contracts and offer letters, and you would rather not pay per person to do it. The free plan may be all you need.
